In what ways do you communicate online?
Short answer: Poorly, and with much frustration.
Long answer: That, but with more words. Young Jayjay was so excited when she discovered the magical world of multi-line BBSes when she was 12. The potential to make friends without having to actually speak to them was like literal magic.

The reality is that, between the ADD-induced object permanence issues, the ASD struggle to relate to people, the severe rejection sensitive dysphoria, and the fact that I’m scared of Discord, I still don’t talk to people online and get to make friends like I want to. But, hey, send me a message on my insta and I’ll probably give you an off-puttingly blunt reply. So there’s that, right?
