You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, car, or bike?
It depends on the purpose of the trip, I suppose. Is it for the journey or the destination?
If the point is what’s happening at the other end, airplane all the way. When we were younger, we used to road trip the 1000km home to see family and now I would rather not go than have to spend that time in the car.
However, if the point is the road trip, like, we’re just taking a month to cruise around, seeing the sights, eating questionable small-town diner food, making friends with new people? My choices (per a previous post here) would be motorhome or motorcycle. Maybe a combination of the two? Motorhome with a bike trailer. Motorhome for getting from town to town, and then motorcycle for getting around town.
