Ominous Velour

My youngest brother-in-law is the most confident, outgoing person I have ever met. I can’t think of anyone who is more the antithesis of me than him. He’s cool, though.

When I first met him, he was a counselor at a summer camp and the drummer in a local band. Since then, he went away to seminary, became a youth pastor at a large church in California, came back to Canada and became assistant pastor and then senior pastor at a couple of local churches, worked as camp director at the summer camp he had counseled at, and then became a real estate agent who is also very prolific on the socials. And he’s still a drummer in a band.

I cringe at the idea of even doing one of those things in my life, let alone all of them. Then I go curl up in bed with a good book.
